Each year one in three cats and dogs fall ill or are injured. There are over 80 providers all offering different pet insurance policies. A typical pet insurance policy will cover treatment for illness, injury or disease, the purchase price if your pet dies due to accidental injury and an element of third party liability cover (usually applicable to dogs only). Although pet insurance will cover against life’s unexpected emergencies, it does not cover against routine or preventative treatment for your animals such as worming or vaccinations.
Policies vary in the level of cover they offer, each company applying their own additions, conditions and exclusions. Pick the policy that best meets your needs and budget.
When making an insurance claim, please fill in the owner's section of the insurance claim form and leave the veterinary section blank. We will happily fill this part in and forward it to your insurance company on your behalf. There is no extra cost for this service. However, please be aware that this can take up to two weeks.
